Our name is based on an evening which we all remember as being fun, but can’t remember much else. There was a vodka tasting event which saw us sampling 12 shots of vodka ranging from your standard Stolichnaya to the niche flavour of Sammy’s Garlic Vodka to the 80-proof liquid fermented potato vodka. Needless to say, the evening was a success (we use the pictures from the beginning of the evening in order to remember that fun, smiley, stomach in good shape feeling).

So, why Project Vodka for the name of the great collaborative innovation website we imagine? Well, I’ll tell you.

The concept of the website was to enable groups of people who might not normally have access to each other get together to discuss different services or products, and through collaboration, evolve those services or products into something super. So we looked up all possible combinations of collaboration, innovation, group, think, brain, garage, develop, etc and tried to come up with a fancy new word with a domain name which wasn’t already taken. Let me tell you how hard that is to do.  We thought, we need the website to exist, to get all that collaboration going, just to group think a name! So, actually, that is something which may be discussed on the project.

Anyhoo!

To get the name, we then thought of a time when a bunch of us MBA’s from every which where were discussing random ideas, having fun doing it, and coming up with some interesting tidbits. Guess what? We thought of the Vodka Tasting, and thus Project Vodka was born.

When we thought of passing the business plan to the investors, the name got shortened to Project V (you know, for more professionalism purposes). However, let’s get down to it, it started with Vodka so that is our Project for now!
